Now the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is three years old. During this short span of time challenge before the University has been to stand in line with the best National law schools of the country; without claiming any excuse for its infancy. An introspection and overall assessment of the progress, both in terms of academic achievements and infrastructural development, provide us a sense of satisfaction, perhaps their is no scope to be complacent.

Presently, students of first three batches of Graduation and two batches of Post- Graduation courses in law have started depicting their professional acumen. This is evident from their achievements at the various national and international competitions; significant contribution on the contemporary issues in the society; creative work in socio-legal studies apart from their quest to acquire legal skills through practical application in real life situations. I believe behind this there is hard work done by the faculty members, both within and outside the class room. In additions teachers are deeply involved in the research pursuits.

RGNUL is making all efforts to provide best facilities to the students and the faculty towards achieving its cherished objectives. Presently, our library is stocked with about 20000 books. It also provides facilities in the form of two hi-tech computer labs with competent technical support; twenty-four hour wi-fi internet connectivity at the campus and the hostels; medical, sports and transport facilities; and also congenial environment for serious studies. We are making all endeavors to expedite the construction work of the new campus, so as to make the University functional from there at the earliest possible.

 In building up this institution, we are getting consistent support from many quarters. We feel,  especially fortunate for getting able guidance from our worthy Chancellor Hon'ble Mr.  Justice Tirath Singh Thakur, Chief Justice Punjab and Haryana High Court, Hon'ble Mr. Justice M. M. Kumar and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajive Bhalla, Members of RGNUL General Council and Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court. The interest taken by the State Government and its functionaries in nurturing this budding institution is nonetheless highly appreciable. Perhaps, the worthy Vice Chancellor, Professor (Dr.) Gurjeet Singh is an inspirational force behind us.

 Now we are eagerly looking forward to the joining of the fourth batch of students of Graduation and second batch of the Post-Graduation courses to the RGNUL family. Best Wishes!
